These terms have been updated for the 2025 sale.

ITEMS NOT APPROPRIATE FOR SALE
In order to continually improve the quality of the items for sale in the Used Curriculum Sale (UCS), and to more closely cater to the needs of our shoppers, these items will not be accepted for sale:

Magazines (individual or bundled)
Books with themes on witchcraft, sorcery, or the Wiccan religion–fiction or non-fiction
Glass items or items with glass pieces or parts. Exception: We will accept properly packaged science kits in which the glass pieces are securely wrapped. If the sound of clinking glass is heard, the kit will not be accepted for sale.
Perishable items
Stuffed animals, dolls, or toys
Items rated R and above. (Use discretion with materials rated PG-13.)
VHS Movies
VHS Games
Audio Cassettes

Please do NOT bring these items to sell. The above items have either been found not to sell well, are considered hazardous in the context of the sale, or conflict with HEAV's Statement of Purpose. HEAV reserves the right to refuse any inappropriate materials.

OTHER RESTRICTIONS
Minimum Prices: Minimum item price on Friday is $1. Minimum item price on Saturday is $0.75.

Item Condition: All items submitted for sale should be intact and in good condition.

Lost Items: Due to the volume of items handled in the UCS over a short period of time, it is possible that despite our best efforts some items may become lost. While we will do our best to retrieve a lost item, all sellers must agree not to hold HEAV responsible for any lost or damaged item left to be sold in the UCS.

CHECK-IN

Loading Dock Check-In

A conveinient drive-thru service for dropping off your sales items is available at the UCS hall (Hall C) loading dock beginning at 3 p.m. on Thursday. UCS volunteers will be available to help you unload your vehicle and check in your items using your Drop-off Sheet Summary. The loading dock is for unloading only. Parking is not permitted in the loading dock area. Access a GRCC map here (under WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW) for directions to the loading dock.

Hall C Check-In

A second check-in is available on Thursday inside the UCS hall (Hall C) accessible by entering through the GRCC main entrance. The doors to the UCS hall will not be open until check-in begins at 3 p.m. Friday check-in is available only at the loading dock from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m.

RECEIPT OF PAYMENT
As a seller, you will receive 75% of your total sales; HEAV receives 25%. Please allow 2-3 weeks for your check to arrive or for your PayPal account to be credited.
If you elect to receive your sales proceeds by check, HEAV will deduct $1 from your total proceeds to cover the cost of processing and mailing your check. To avoid the possibility of your check being rejected by your financial institution, you will need to deposit or cash your check within 90 days of its issue date.
If you request a check to be re-issued before 60 days, you will be required to pay a $35 stop payment fee.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers play a crucial role in the success of the UCS. It is especially crucial that UCS sellers assist in the variety of tasks required to set up and operate this two-day event.
